Shan Zhu is a prime example of the saying “It’s never too late to start something new”, as she just recently embarked on her journey in music with rapid success.

Shan, who holds a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in biomedical engineering and computer science from Johns Hopkins University, currently pursues a career as a software engineer at Bloomberg LP. While initially immersed in the fields of robotics and neuroscience, Shan's life took a musical turn one fateful night at Blues Notes New York, sparking her interest in jazz and music. Through learning jazz piano and participating in ensembles with the New York Jazz Academy, she discovered her true passion lies within the realm of music.
